National Poetry Month Commence!

Today marks the start of National Poetry Month. A good place to begin each day this month (or any month, really) is at Poetry Daily. Today's selection includes two poems by Carl Dennis from New Ohio Review.

There is no frigate like a book
  To take us lands away
Nor any coursers like a page
  Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
  Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
